Jim OwensBrewers High School Boys basketball
Jim was a four year letterman at Brewers High School, and was the starting center on the 1946, 1947, and 1948 Brewers Basketball Team. He was named All State Tournament team in 1948 and second team All Sate in that same year. He continued his basketball career at Memphis State and started as a forward during the 1948-49 season.

Jeff Waters"The voice of the Marshals." Waters started his career in play by play announcing in 1988. Waters went to work at WCBL Radio in 1993. Became Sports Director and started broadcasting Marshall County games in 1994. Play by Play announcer for Marshall County Football and Boys Basketball. Broadcast the Boys State Basketball Tournament from 1996 to 2004. Waters was the first play by play announcer for the Murray State Television Network and called many MSU football games and mens basketball games on that network from 2008 to 2012. Waters has also done freelance work for many other local and regional outlets. He had a streak of 169 consecutive Marshall County football broadcasts between 1995 and 2010. Waters has been behind the mic for 14 district championships and 3 regional championships in Marshall County boys basketball, and 3 district championships and 1 regional championship in Marshall County football.
